A Servolution is not an event; it is a movement, Infusing this culture into the church will change our view of the world and our perspective of serving others. This movement is CONTAGIOUS. Throughout the body of Christ – intentional acts of kindness are demonstrating the love of God. We are actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and the poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. We stand ready with one heart and willing hands to fulfill Galatians 5:13 & 14… but through Love serve one another (v.13) and to love your neighbor as yourself (v.14).
JOIN THE MOVEMENT — The last Saturday of EVERY month throughout our community.
We are actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and the poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them.
GRILLING FOR HEROS – Serve our unsung heros by honoring their service. Hamburgers, baked beans, desserts, soft drinks, etc. Weather you can cook or just want to serve the food or even help set up or tear down, there are plenty of places to serve the fireman, police officers, and school leaders who are the unsung heroes of our community.
SERVE OUR SCHOOLS – Serve the future by supporting our local schools. There are so many needs our local schools have. From maintaining the landscape, providing kleenex tissues in the rooms, volunteering to monitor tests, and prayer walking the schools. Also we can be a blessing by providing gift baskets to the teachers and administrators with no strings attached.
CLEAN OUR CITY – Reach out and keep our city clean. As we drive down the road we don’t have to look far to see trash thrown somewhere. Sometimes people feel like trash. We can be a blessing by helping keep our city’s streets, parks, and walking trails clean. Who knows the impact on others we can make by cleaning real trash?
BRING THE LOVE – Visit with people who are in desperate need and write letters to families who have lost love ones. We can be a blessing by visiting a total stranger in a hospital room or bless families by writing a letter to them by simply seeing their loved ones name in the obituary section of the newspaper.
REACH OUT CANTON – Reach out and serve the needs of people in Canton. From walking the streets in a prayer walk, to providing simple needs such as cloths and food, to helping with a VBS in an impoverished apartment complex, the needs are great.
YOUNG LIFE SUPPORT – An opportunity to support teen moms and their babies. Young Life Support mentors come alongside young women in a way we believe Jesus would do: with compassion, support and hope.
FIRST RESPONDERS – Be among the first to meet the needs of families who have suffered tragedies such as a house fire, flooding, or tornado. We will be on call to attend the actual scene of the suffering and assist in meeting needs immediately. This group will champion donation drives to meet the needs of those who have suffered.
